Due to the fact that in process of metal products manufacturing we use mainly thin metal sheets and it is more feasible to manufacture parts by laser cutting from the whole sheet, rather than by individual blanks, we decided to purchase a laser. Based on the results of a research of the laser equipment offered by the market, geography of manufacturers, price parameters, the final choice was made in favor of the fiber laser from the domestic manufacturer LLC "ARAMIS".

Laser welding of metals
The weld strength achieved by laser welding is comparable to the strength of the material being welded.
The effectiveness of using a laser beam for the welding process is due to the high concentration of energy in the spot of the laser source. This allows the use of laser welding to obtain the best quality welds. An electron beam has comparable concentration, but the use of electron beam welding is possible only in a vacuum, which complicates the use of this technology.
Small size of the laser spot provides high-quality thin weld seams, without using additional materials for the welding process.
One more advantage of laser welding is significantly higher productivity compared to other methods, which allows its use in production enterprises with large volumes of output products.
Laser welding equipment allows to process metal structures with high efficiency, taking into account modern production requirements to productivity and quality of processing.
Types of laser welding:
- Spot laser welding. This type of welding is used mainly in microelectronics and allows to achieve high precision when welding small-sized elements.
- Seam laser welding is used to obtain a reliable mechanical connection and high seam tightness. Lasers working in both pulse and continuous wave modes are used for seam welding.
The weld quality in case of using continuous laser emission is very high and often exceeds the mechanical properties of the material being welded, due to the changes in the structure of the material in the welded area.
The weld strength obtained in laser welding can be compared to the strength of the material being welded.
Laser welding systems produced by our company, are mainly aimed to meet the needs of manufacturers who set higher requirements for precision and productivity of equipment.
The advantages of laser welding
- One of the most important advantages of laser welding is high controllability of the processing modes and high accuracy of energy dosage, allowing to obtain the best quality joints.
- High energy concentration in case of laser welding provides substantially higher processing speed and better strength of the result weld.
- Also, the advantages of laser welding include the absence of the need to create a vacuum or other special conditions, as processing can be carried out in the open air, which greatly simplifies the production process.
