The mobile and compact ARAMIS LCS system is designed for operations of surface cleaning with laser. It is an innovative solution for delicate cleaning of high-complexity products that cannot be cleaned mechanically. The system is not a substitute for sandblasting. It is perfectly suitable for cleaning molds, tools, implements from contaminants of organic origin and shallow rust.
With pulsed laser emission, the system delicately removes scale, rust, paint and varnish, traces of petroleum products and many other contaminants without damaging the part itself.
The laser cleaning system is widely used for surface pre-treatment before welding, gluing, painting, restoration and repair works.

Description
  • The laser metal cleaning machine is a high-performance and efficient device for cleaning of metal from shallow contaminations. It does not require application of chemicals, does not harm the environment and does not change the physical size dimensions of the object.
  • A portable laser cleaning station is the most flexible and ergonomic portable laser cleaning system available in the market. The operator can easily reach any area, change the laser configuration and move the workstation. You get a cost-effective solution for cleaning the parts of different shapes and sizes.
  • It gently removes rust, scale, oils, paints (except powder coatings), oxides, epoxy resins and other organic contaminants from various surfaces. Particularly effective for cleaning: in hard-to-reach places, on uneven surfaces, localized areas of the object to be cleaned.
  • The principle of operation lies in the different thermal conductivity of metal and contaminants on it, laser emission in short-pulse output mode removes complex chemical compounds (such as rust, dirt, paint coatings, etc.), from the surface to be cleaned. Since the light pulses are very short, the metal surface does not have time to heat up or deform. The surface of the product after treatment is clean, degreased and well prepared for further work.
Contact-free cleaning
The main advantages of LCS are non-contact cleaning, high precision and speed. Total absence of any mechanical impact capable of damaging the surface of the product being cleaned. No side contamination in the form of sand, acids, etc. Does not pollute the environment. Galvanometer scanner as a part of the hand-held laser head manipulator assembly (gun) for metal laser cleaning provides high accuracy of beam positioning. Depending on the technological tasks assigned, the operator can change the length and width of the scanner beam, as well as adjust the degree of laser emission exposure on the object being cleaned.
Convenient and cost-effective
Easy to operate and cost-effective, the LCS laser metal cleaning machine is easy to use and does not require extensive training for the personnel. To reconfigure the machine it is enough to set a few parameters and select the level of laser emission power. The required parameters can be saved for further use as one of the available processing modes (set of parameters). No consumable materials needed. All work is performed by the laser beam, without the assistance of any process gases or other consumable elements.
Versatile in use
The system has a wide range of applications due to various power levels. This laser cleaning machine is available in different power levels from 100W to 1000W. It contains the necessary features to ensure the personnel safety, and the fume control software ensures that contamination is always removed from the working areas. Suitable for cleaning all types of metals, stone, molds.

Operating conditions

  1. Requirements set to the equipment placement premises:
    • No special foundation is required for the system. For the floor where the machine is to placed: the floor surface level deviation (floor level difference) from the horizontal plane over 2 m distance should not exceed 4 mm (Construction Standards and Rules SNiP 2.03.13-88 “Floors”) ;
    • The concrete pad size should not be smaller than the total square area of the entire system, including additional equipment, and should be at least 140 mm deep;
    • Floors and walls of the premises may not be a source of dust (especially – cement plaster dust);
    • The width of all passageways between the equipment elements or between the equipment and room walls should be no less than 0.5 m (and in some cases no less than 1 m);
  2. Power supply specifications:
    • The system shall be plugged to 5-wire 3 phase industrial power grid 400 W with permissible deviation +-10%; 50+-1Hz frequency with acceptable electric power consumption in accordance with the system’s needs. Interphase balance may not exceed +2%. Electric power quality standards in accordance with the State Standard GOST ГОСТ 13109-97;
    • The system shall be equipped with a three-phase voltage stabilizer to stabilize the voltage against possible surges in the network, which in turn will ensure uninterrupted and reliable operation of the machine;
    • The system must be earthed: connect the earthing circuit of the machine with a cable to the earthing bolt. The cable cross-section must be no less that 4 sq. mm.
  3. Климатические условия эксплуатации:
    • Prepare the premises to maintain a stable temperature to ensure operation within the range of +10 to +32 C and relative humidity of 80% (at the temperature of 20 C) without condensate formation, at the atmospheric pressure of 83.9-106.6 kPa (630-800 mm Hg);
    • Make sure there are no active substances in the premises where the system is placed;
    • Temperature fluctuations during operation shall not exceed the limit of +3C
  4. Requirements to the air extraction system
    • The premises shall be equipped with exhaust ventilation to remove combustion products and process-generated dust, with the total pressure of no less than 1950 Pa and the productivity of no less than 4250 m3/h.

      The laser system must be connected to the aforesaid exhaust ventilation system with a 315 mm diameter ventilation hose or pipe.

  5. Process gas supply (for the cutting process):
    • For laser cutting, the following should be used: oxygen in cylinders (99.7% purity), nitrogen (99.97% purity) or an industrial network of dried compressed air must be available (water content not exceeding 0.005%, oil content not exceeding 0.002%, no worse than the 4th containment class according to state standard GOST 17433-80, pressure no less than 14 bar);
    • Requirements for the operation and storage of cylinders should be based on safety regulations for handling of flammable (oxygen) and non-flammable (nitrogen, argon) gases, which are valid in the country where the system is to be used.
  6. Utility air supply (for pneumatic equipment operation)
    • Supply of purified, dehumidified compressed air to the auxiliary pneumatic units of the laser complex by a pneumatic pipe with an internal and external diameter of 10 mm and 12 mm, respectively. Air purification in accordance with DIN ISO 8573-1: oils no more than 0.002%, water no more than 0.005%, particle size up to 40 microns, not worse than class 4 contamination in accordance with State Standard DEST ДЭСТ 17433-80, pressure 6…8 bar, maximum losses: 0.5 l/min.
  7. Requirements to the cooled liquid of the machine’s cooling system:
    • Cooling liquid: distilled water;
    • The quality of distilled water in the cooling system (chiller) circuit shall comply with ISO 22519:2019 (recommended water quality – after reverse osmosis) with hardness of no more than 0.25 dH ) = 4.45 ppm = 0.089 ml/liter and electrical conductivity of no more than [ref. _]
